“She is cheerful” es una etiqueta; “she sings while she sews and everyone in the street hears it” es una imagen.

Band 8
I’d like to talk about my aunt Amina, my mother’s younger sister. She lives in Mombasa, in Kenya, and she runs a small tailoring shop near the old town. She opened it fifteen years ago, and three women now work alongside her. She’s one of the most cheerful people I knowSuperlativo natural con una oración de relativo, and everybody who meets her says the same. She’s warm, talkative and exceptionally generous. She greets every customer by name and regularly brings snacks round for the neighbours. If someone is struggling she’ll put down her scissors to listen, and she has never once said she was too busy. Qué hizo subir la banda
- El “everybody who know” y el “She laugh” de Band 6 pasan a ser correctos en Band 7 (“everybody who meets her”, “She has a big laugh”) y se mantienen limpios en Band 8.
- Band 6 dice “very happy” y “a very good example”; Band 7 lo mejora con “one of the most cheerful people I know”, y Band 8 añade “exceptionally generous” y el cierre “living proof of how much a positive outlook can change an ordinary day”.
- Band 6 da la razón en una oración sencilla (“She does not compare herself with other people”); Band 7 y Band 8 la integran en “she’s content with what she has”, y Band 8 la introduce con “I think it comes down to the fact that”.

- What things make people happy in your country?¿Qué cosas hacen felices a las personas en tu país?
- Is it possible to be happy all the time?¿Es posible ser feliz todo el tiempo?

Preguntas frecuentes
