Band 6

I would like to talk about a birthday party that really impress動詞形式錯誤:應為「impressed」 me. It was held last August in the garden of my aunt’s house in Medellin, and it was for my grandmother’s eightieth birthday. It was a surprise, so she did not know anything about it. My cousins and I plan時態錯誤:應為「planned」 it for two months, and, er猶豫時使用的填充詞, my aunt cooked a lot of food. About sixty people came, and they were relatives, neighbours and some friends from my grandmother’s church. My aunt decorate時態錯誤:應為「decorated」 the garden with small lights and yellow flowers, because they are my grandmother’s favourite. We also hire時態錯誤:應為「hired」 a small band that played songs from her young days, and everybody danced, even the children. When she arrived, she was very surprise詞形錯誤:應為「was very surprised」 and she started to cry. I was really happy基本說法,限制了Lexical Resource的分數 to see her face. After dinner we showed a slideshow with old photos of her, and my uncle make時態錯誤:應為「made」 a speech about her life. It was a very nice speech基本說法;「heartfelt speech」更精準 and many people were crying. The party impressed me so much because my family worked hard for it, you know當作停頓使用的填充詞, and everybody came from different cities only to say thank you to her. I never see時態錯誤:應為「had never seen」 my family so united before. She told me later that it was the happiest day of her old age. I take時態錯誤:應為「took」 many photos that night, and I still look at them when I want to feel happy. I think it was the best party in my life.

Band 7

I’d like to talk about a birthday party that really impressed me. It was held last August in the garden of my aunt’s house in Medellin, for my grandmother’s eightieth birthday. It was a surprise, so she had no idea about it. My cousins and I had been planning it for two months, and my aunt cooked enough food for a small army. About sixty people came: relatives, neighbours and a few friends from my grandmother’s church. My aunt had decorated the garden with fairy lights and yellow flowers, which are my grandmother’s favourite, and we’d hired a small band that played songs from her youth, so everybody danced, even the children. When she walked in she was so surprise詞形錯誤:應為「so surprised」, and she burst into tears. I was thrilled精準又生動的形容詞 to see her face. After dinner we showed a slideshow of old photos, and my uncle gave a heartfelt speech自然的詞語搭配 about her life that left many people in tears. What impressed me most was how much effort everyone had put in分裂句讓說明條理清楚, because relatives travelled from other cities just to thank her. I’d never seen my family so much united詞序錯誤:應為「so united」 before. She told me afterwards that it was the happiest day she’d had in years. I took dozens of photos that night, and I still look at them when I want to feel cheerful. I think it was the best party I’ve ever gone to搭配錯誤:應為「been to」.

Band 8

I’d like to talk about a birthday party that really impressed me. It was held last August in the garden of my aunt’s house in Medellin, for my grandmother’s eightieth birthday, and it was a surprise, so she had no idea. When she walked in she was completely taken aback, and then she burst into tears. I was thrilled to see her face. After dinner we showed a slideshow of old photos, and my uncle gave a heartfelt speech about her life that left many people in tears. What impressed me most was how much effort everyone had put in, since relatives had travelled from other cities just to thank her分裂句加上過去完成式的原因子句,從頭到尾準確. I’d never seen my family pull together慣用的片語動詞 like that before. She told me afterwards that it was the happiest day she’d had in years, and I took dozens of photos that night that I still look at whenever I want cheering up. I think it was the best party I’ve ever been to, not because it was lavish, but because it was so sincere平衡的對比,自然地為回答收尾.

  • Band 6的失誤(「a birthday party that really impress me」、「My cousins and I plan it」)在Band 7已經正確(「a birthday party that really impressed me」、「had been planning it」),Band 8也維持乾淨。
  • Band 6依賴「really happy」和「very nice speech」;Band 7升級為「thrilled」和「a heartfelt speech」;Band 8加上「completely taken aback」和「pull together」。
  • Band 6以「the best party in my life」結尾;Band 7把這個想法改正為「the best party I’ve ever gone to」,但仍有一個失誤;Band 8則以「not because it was lavish, but because it was so sincere」作結。

  1. Why do people in many cultures mark special events with a party?
  2. Do you think large parties are more enjoyable than small gatherings?
  3. How do the ways people celebrate differ between older and younger generations?
  4. Is it a good idea for families to spend a lot of effort on organising a celebration?
  5. What responsibilities do hosts have towards their guests at a big party?

給一個誠實的估計,例如「around sixty」或「about twenty close friends and family」。
