如果你說「I disliked it because I was worried about losing my sister, and the noise gave me a headache」,會比只說「it was not good」有說服力得多。

Band 6

I would like to talk about a very crowded place I go時態錯誤:應為「went」 to last December, which was Balogun Market in Lagos. I went there on a Saturday morning with my younger sister Chidinma because she wanted to buy some nice clothes說法含糊,限制了Lexical Resource的分數 for a family wedding. When we arrived, there were so many people that we can時態錯誤:應為「could」 not walk fast. Some sellers were shouting, some customers were arguing about the good price基本說法;「a fair price」更精準, and motorbikes were, er猶豫時使用的填充詞, passing in the narrow lanes between the stalls. We stopped two times to rest in a doorway, and a man carry詞形錯誤:應為「carrying」 a big bundle of cloth on his head shouted at everybody to move. I was holding my sister’s hand all the time because I was afraid we would lose each other. Most people were buying or selling, and some of them were just look around詞形錯誤:應為「looking around」 without buying anything. Honestly, I did not like it very much. It was too noisy, the air was hot, and I have時態錯誤:應為「had」 a headache after one hour. But my sister was happy because she find時態錯誤:應為「found」 the dress that she wanted, so I was happy for her too. After that we had a cold drink in a small cafe outside the market, and the quiet there felt very good基本說法,限制了Lexical Resource的分數. I think I disliked the place because I am a person who likes quiet, but I understand that a lot of people基本說法,限制了Lexical Resource的分數 love this kind of market because, you know當作停頓使用的填充詞, it is full of life.

Band 7

I’d like to talk about a really crowded place I went to last December, Balogun Market in Lagos. I went on a Saturday morning with my younger sister Chidinma, who needed an outfit for a family wedding. By the time we arrived, the lanes were so packed that we could only shuffle along自然、精準的動詞片語,描述在人群中移動 with everyone else. Sellers were calling out to customers, shoppers were bargaining loudly, and every few minutes a motorbike squeeze時態錯誤:應為「squeezed」 past between the stalls. We stopped twice to catch our breath in a doorway, and a man carrying a huge bundle of cloth on his head shouted at everybody to make way. I kept hold of my sister’s hand because I was afraid we’d get separated. Most people were there to buy or sell something清楚準確的句子,回應了第三個要點, though some were simply wandering around and taking it all in. To be honest, I didn’t enjoy it much. It was far too noisy, the air was stifling, and I had a headache within an hour. Still, my sister was delighted轉折用語讓故事保持連貫 because she found exactly the dress she wanted, and that made the trip worthwhile. Afterwards we had a cold drink in a small cafe outside the market, and the quiet there felt wonderful. I think I disliked it mainly because I prefer quiet places, although I can understand why so many people is attracted主詞動詞不一致:應為「are attracted」 to a market that’s so full of energy.

Band 8

I’d like to talk about a market I visited last December, Balogun Market in Lagos, which is easily the most crowded place I’ve ever been to. I went on a Saturday morning with my younger sister Chidinma, who needed an outfit for a family wedding. By the time we arrived, the lanes were so packed that all we could do was let the crowd carry us along道地、生動的說法,描述在人群中移動. Sellers were calling out to passers-by, shoppers were haggling at the top of their voices, and every few minutes a motorbike squeezed through the gaps between the stalls. We had to stop twice to catch our breath in a doorway, and a man balancing a huge bundle of cloth on his head barked at everybody to make way. I kept hold of my sister’s hand for fear of getting separated. Although most people were simply there to buy or sell, others were wandering about and soaking it all in讓步結構用得準確又自然. To be honest, I didn’t enjoy it. The noise was relentless, the air was stifling, and within an hour I had a pounding headache. That said話語標記,引出平衡的看法, my sister was delighted to find exactly the dress she’d been looking for, which made the trip worthwhile. Afterwards we had a cold drink at a small cafe outside the market, and the sudden quiet felt like a luxury. I think I disliked it because I crave quiet精準、自然的動詞選擇, but I can see why so many people are drawn to a place that is so full of energy.

  • Band 6的時態失誤(「a very crowded place I go to last December」、「we can not walk fast」)在Band 7已經正確(「a really crowded place I went to last December」),Band 8也維持乾淨。
  • Band 6依賴「some nice clothes」和「good price」;Band 7用「shuffle along」;Band 8加上「let the crowd carry us along」和「I crave quiet」。
  • Band 6以平淡的「it is full of life」收尾;Band 7用「a market that’s so full of energy」作結;Band 8則在平衡的「That said」之後,用「drawn to a place that is so full of energy」表達同樣的意思。

  1. Why do so many people enjoy being in a crowd, for example at a festival or a match?
  2. Is noise in big cities a serious problem for the people who live there?
  3. What can a city do to reduce noise in its busiest areas?
  4. Do you think people cope with crowded places better when they are young?
  5. How should the authorities keep large crowds safe at public events?
