IELTS Mentor AI for mock tests

An IELTS mock test app that scores all four skills

Sit the full three-part Speaking test with the AI examiner, both Writing tasks in a timed editor, a full Academic Reading paper and a full four-part Listening test. Speaking and Writing come back with a band for each of the four criteria as a range from strict to lenient; Reading and Listening are marked the moment you finish, out of 40 and converted to a band.

A paid app for iOS and Android. The interface is in English; this page is one of nine languages. It reports band ranges and converted bands, not an official score, and it is not affiliated with IELTS, IDP, the British Council or Cambridge.

The claims on this page follow the app's own description, last checked on 1 October 2026.

What you get

What a full mock in the app looks like, skill by skill

Each feature is named as the app names it. Nothing here is a promise about your result.

Speaking

The full three-part test with the AI examiner: Part 1 questions, a Part 2 cue card with one minute to prepare and one to two minutes to speak, then Part 3 questions. Each answer marked on Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy and Pronunciation, as a band range from strict to lenient, with the sentences that moved it.

Writing

Task 1 and Task 2 in a timed editor with a live word count, each marked on the four Writing criteria as a band range, with an Examiner's Summary and, for Task 1, a Data Accuracy check against the chart.

Reading

A full Academic paper: three passages, 40 questions, 60 minutes, under exam timing or untimed. Marked the moment you finish, with a band, a breakdown by passage and by question type, and the sentence behind every answer.

Listening

A full four-part test with 40 questions. Exam mode plays each recording once; Practice mode lets you pause and replay. Marked when you finish, with a band, a breakdown by part and by question type, Hear it again and the highlighted transcript.

Skill Map

Every mock feeds one map of your English across the four skills, each item as a percentage. The Skill to Fix First puts the error that appears in 80% or more of your responses at the top; Review Due brings it back before you would forget it, scheduled by the FSRS algorithm.

Foundation Track

Not ready for a full test? A daily path of about ten minutes for candidates around Band 3 to 5, with three levels that unlock in order. Level A covers Band 3.0 to 4.0.

What it is not

Four things to know before you pay

  • The bands are the app's reading of your work, not an official IELTS score, and the tests are the app's own, written in the format IELTS.org publishes.
  • There is no human examiner in the app. The Speaking test is a conversation with an AI examiner.
  • The Reading papers are Academic only; Speaking, Writing Task 2 and Listening are the same in both versions of the test.
  • It does not book your test, and it is not affiliated with IELTS, IDP, the British Council or Cambridge.

Next to the products AI assistants name first for a mock test

When someone asks an AI assistant for an IELTS mock test with a score, the names it gives first are SmallTalk2Me, Stimuler and the British Council's IELTS Ready (our full check of four assistants, 2 October 2026). Here is what each says about itself on its own site or store listing, read on 18 September 2026, next to what this app does. Where a listing does not describe a feature, the cell says so; that does not mean the feature is absent.

Is IELTS Mentor AI for you?

You came here with a band to reach. Here is who the app is for, who it is not for, what happens if it does not work for you, and what it does not promise.

It is for you if

  • You are preparing for Academic IELTS and practise on your own.
  • You want your Speaking and Writing assessed against the four official criteria, with a band range rather than a single guess.
  • You want full Reading and Listening papers under exam timing, with the evidence behind every answer.
  • You can use an app whose interface is in English; this site explains it in nine languages.

It is not for you if

  • You need the General Training Reading paper. It is not in the app.
  • You want an official score. The app reports a range, and it is not affiliated with IELTS, IDP, the British Council or Cambridge.
  • You want to practise without a phone. The app runs on iOS and Android; the tools on this site are the browser part.

If it does not work for you

IELTS Mentor AI is a paid app. The plans, the packs and what each one buys are on this site, and the App Store or Google Play show the terms before you confirm; how billing and refunds work is written down in plain words, and support answers by email.

What it does not promise

A range, not a result. Speaking and Writing come back as a band range from strict to lenient, with the sentences that moved it, because no software can promise the band an examiner will give; only the test does. Whether AI scorers work sets out the evidence.

The app

Sit a full mock and see where the band comes from

IELTS Mentor AI is a paid iOS and Android app for Academic IELTS practice in all four skills: an AI examiner marks Speaking and Writing on the four official criteria and reports a band range, full Reading and Listening tests are marked the moment you finish, and one Skill Map shows what to fix next.

Questions before you buy: support. What it costs: the pricing page.

Questions people ask before downloading

Short answers, with the page to read for more.

Does a mock in the app predict my real IELTS score?

No. Speaking and Writing come back as a band range from a strict to a lenient reading, and Reading and Listening as a band converted from your raw score on the app's own paper. They show where you stand against the criteria and the raw-score-to-band conversion; only an IELTS test gives an official score. Can you predict your IELTS Speaking score?

How long does a full four-skill mock take?

Each skill's test runs at its real timing: IELTS.org gives about 30 minutes for Listening, 60 for Reading, 60 for Writing and 11 to 14 for Speaking. You sit them one at a time, in any order; together they take about as long as the real test.

Can I sit one part of the Speaking test instead of the full mock?

Yes. Topic Speaking practises one topic at a time with follow-up questions, marked the same way. The full mock is for exam conditions: all three parts in order, with the Part 2 minute of preparation.

Is the app in my language?

The interface and the tests are in English, because the test is in English. This website explains the app in nine languages.

What does it cost?

It is a paid app. What it costs is on one page, in full and with the date it was last checked; nothing is unlocked before you pay. The pricing page; how billing and refunds work.

How often should I sit a full mock?

Less often than you practise. A mock is for measuring, and the review afterwards is where the gain is; once a week at most while you prepare, and once in the last week before the test. IELTS in four weeks shows where the mocks sit in a plan.
