Study plan

A plan built around your test date

Tell it where you are, where you need to be and how much time you have. It builds the weeks from what actually moves a band.

Nothing is stored and there is no sign-in. The whole plan lives in the link, so saving the link saves the plan.

Where the scoring happens

Every session that needs a score, do it in the app

This page can hand you the weeks, the cards, the vocabulary and the descriptor to read. It cannot listen to you. Speak an answer into IELTS Mentor AI and the examiner marks it on the four criteria, returns a band range from strict to lenient, and shows the sentences that cost you the half band — and the same goes for a Writing Task 1 or Task 2 answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What the plan is, what it can't tell you, and what it leaves out.

How many weeks does it take to go up half a band?

There is no reliable answer, and anyone who gives you one in weeks is guessing. It depends on where you are starting, which criterion is holding you back, how much you speak out loud rather than read about speaking, and whether anything is measuring the change. What is worth trusting is the measurement: record an answer, have it marked against the four criteria, fix the one thing it flags, and record the same kind of answer again a fortnight later. The plan on this page is built to make that loop happen on a schedule, not to promise a date when the band changes. Band 6 vs Band 7: what actually changes sets out what the jump is made of.

What if I don't have a test date?

Tick "I don't have a date yet" and pick how many weeks you want to work for instead, from two to twenty-four. The plan is built the same way, with week one starting on your start date. If you book a test later, come back, put the date in and rebuild the plan: the weeks re-space themselves to land on the date you booked.

Does the plan cover Listening and Reading?

No. IELTS Mentor AI works on Speaking and Writing, so the plan covers those: a weekly focus on one of the four Speaking criteria, cue cards with the two-minute timer, a vocabulary topic and self-test, the band descriptor cell for the criterion you are working on, Writing Task 1 and Task 2 weeks if you choose them, and a Foundation track for Band 3 to 4. Nothing here scores Listening or Reading. For those two, work from official practice tests and use the band score calculator on this site to convert your raw scores.
