In India, IELTS is delivered by IDP and by the British Council, and each publishes its own fees. The figures below are IDP India’s, as listed on its fee page when we read it on 6 November 2026. IDP says its fees are reviewed periodically, so confirm on the page when you book.

IDP India also lists an administrative fee of Rs. 4,750 to bring a test forward. The first five electronic Test Report Forms sent to universities are free, and each one after that costs ₹350.

Decide first which test you need, because that decides the fee: universities ask for Academic, migration usually asks for General Training, and a UK visa may ask for IELTS for UKVI (what is IELTS).
