Quick answer

IDP Bangladesh lists BDT 31,100 for IELTS on computer, the same in every city it names, BDT 34,850 for IELTS for UKVI, BDT 24,750 for IELTS Life Skills and BDT 18,600 for One Skill Retake (read 6 November 2026). British Council Bangladesh publishes its own fees for its own centres.

Part of The IELTS test, answered

In Bangladesh, IELTS is delivered by IDP and by the British Council, and each publishes its own fees. The figures below are IDP Bangladesh’s, as listed on its fee page when we read it on 6 November 2026. Confirm them on the page when you book.

The IELTS test fee in Bangladesh (IDP)

Test Fee
IELTS on computer BDT 31,100
IELTS for UKVI BDT 34,850
IELTS Life Skills (A1 and B1) BDT 24,750
IELTS One Skill Retake BDT 18,600
IELTS for UKVI One Skill Retake BDT 20,900

IDP lists the same BDT 31,100 in Khulna, Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Barisal Sadar, Cumilla and Rajshahi. Its fee table does not separate Academic and General Training, so the fee is the same whichever of the two your university or visa asks for.

Fees after you book

Change IELTS on computer IELTS Life Skills IELTS for UKVI
Cancellation BDT 3000 BDT 3800 BDT 5150
Transfer to another date BDT 3000 BDT 3800 BDT 5150

Moving only the Speaking test costs BDT 1500, for IELTS on computer and for IELTS for UKVI. An Enquiry on Results costs BDT 10,500. The first five electronic Test Report Forms are free, and each university after that costs an administrative fee of BDT 2400.

How to use these figures

Decide first which test you need, because that decides the fee: universities ask for Academic, migration usually asks for General Training, and a UK visa may ask for IELTS for UKVI (what is IELTS). Then compare IDP’s and the British Council’s current pages and book on the partner’s own site (how to register for IELTS). For other countries, see the IELTS fee by country.

What this means for your score

A student in Sylhet and a student in Dhaka who both book IELTS on computer with IDP pay the same BDT 31,100, because IDP Bangladesh lists one fee for all its cities. If either later needs one section again, One Skill Retake costs BDT 18,600 rather than a full second test.
