試験官が聞くのは、現在形で描写された習慣、「usually」「most evenings」「before I know it」といった時を表す表現、そして「it is boring」や「it is a waste」にとどまらない理由です。

Band 6

I would like to talk about watching short videos on my phone, which is an activity that wastes a lot of my times複数形の誤り:「time」はここでは不可算名詞で、正しくは「a lot of my time」. I’m a university student in Almaty, and I usually do it at night when I’m in bed, and also in the bus前置詞の誤り:正しくは「on the bus」 on my way to classes. Normally I tell myself I will watch for only five minutes, but then I lose the track of time冠詞の誤り:正しくは「lose track of time」 and one hour is gone, you know間を埋めるつなぎ言葉として使っている. The videos are about everything, for example funny animals, cooking and music. I still do it because it is very easy and I don’t need to think. After a long day of studying my brain is tired, so I just look at the screen and relax. On Sundays it is even worse, because I have no lessons and I can stay in bed for the whole afternoon. I think it wastes my time because I don’t remember most of the videos the next day. It make主語と動詞の不一致:正しくは「makes」 me go to sleep more late比較級の誤り:正しくは「later」, and in the morning I feel very tired基本的な言い回しで、Lexical Resourceの評価が伸びない and I can’t concentrate in前置詞の誤り:正しくは「concentrate on」 my lessons. My friends sends主語と動詞の不一致:正しくは「send」 me videos every day, and I don’t want to be the only one who don’t主語と動詞の不一致:正しくは「doesn’t」 know the joke. Last month I looked at the screen time on my phone and it show時制の誤り:正しくは「showed」 more than three hours every day, which surprise時制の誤り:正しくは「surprised」 me. If I used this time, I could read English books or do exercise, but it is difficult to stopあいまいな言い回しで、Lexical Resourceの評価が伸びない. I tried to delete the app once, but after two days I download時制の誤り:正しくは「downloaded」 it again.

Band 7

I’d like to talk about watching short videos on my phone, which is an activity that wastes a lot of my time. I’m a university student in Almaty, and I usually do it at night when I’m in bed, and also on the bus on my way to classes. I always tell myself I’ll watch for just five minutes, but before I know it, an hour has slipped by失った時間を表す、自然で的確な表現. The videos cover everything: funny animals, cooking, music. I still do it because it’s so easy and it takes no effort. After a long day of studying my brain is tired, so I switch off心を休めることを表す、慣用的な動詞 and scroll. On Sundays it’s even worse, because there are no lessons and a whole afternoon can disappear. What makes it a waste of time is that I can hardly remember any of the videos the next day. It keeps me up much later than I intend to比較級を伴う節を、正確に使っている, and in the morning I feel exhausted and can’t concentrate in前置詞の誤り:正しくは「concentrate on」 my lessons. My friends send me clips every day, and I don’t want to be the only one who doesn’t get the joke理由を締めくくる、明確で自然な表現. Last month I checked the screen-time report on my phone, and it showed more than three hours a day, which genuinely shocked me. I even set a daily limit, but I just ignore the warning when it appears. If I used that time, I could read English books or exercise, but it’s hardly to stop語形の誤り:正しくは「hard to stop」. I once deleted the app, but I put it back on after two days.

Band 8

I’d like to talk about watching short videos on my phone, which is probably my biggest time sink的確で自然な慣用的名詞句. I’m a university student in Almaty, and I usually do it at night when I’m in bed, and also on the bus on my way to classes. I always tell myself I’ll watch for just five minutes, but before I know it, an hour has slipped by. The videos cover everything: funny animals, cooking, music. I still do it because it’s effortless: after a long day of studying my brain is tired, so I switch off and scroll何も考えない習慣を表す、自然な句動詞. On Sundays it’s even worse, because there are no lessons and a whole afternoon can vanish without trace失われた時間を表す、鮮やかで的確なイメージ. What makes it a waste of time is that I can hardly remember any of the videos the next day. It keeps me up much later than I intend to, and in the morning I feel exhausted and struggle to concentrate on my lessons. My friends send me clips every day, and I don’t want to be the only one who doesn’t get the joke. Last month I checked the screen-time report on my phone, and it showed more than three hours a day, which genuinely shocked me. I even set a daily limit, but I simply ignore the warning when it appears. If I put that time into reading English books or exercising, I’d probably feel far better並列構造と明確な結果を伴う、現在の仮定を表す条件文を使っている, yet it is surprisingly hard to break the habit矛盾を認める、なめらかな譲歩のつなぎ. I once deleted the app, but I put it back on after two days, which tells me how firmly it has got its hooks into me鮮やかで慣用的なイメージを使った、場面にふさわしい表現.

バンド8にはミスがありません(「struggle to concentrate on my lessons」)。
  • バンド6は「very tired」と「difficult to stop」と言っています。バンド7は「switch off」と「before I know it, an hour has slipped by」を使い、バンド8はその習慣を「time sink」と呼び、「firmly it has got its hooks into me」で締めくくります。

  • 「why you still do it」にまともに答えない、または「because it is fun」とだけ答えること

  1. Why do so many people spend hours every day on their phones?
  2. Do you think parents should limit the time children spend on screens?
  3. Is it possible to use social media in a way that is genuinely useful?
  4. How do the ways people spend their free time change as they get older?
  5. Should the companies that make apps be responsible for how much time people spend on them?
