Band 6
I would like to talk about something I do every Sunday in Monterrey, where I live: I cook my meals for the whole week. I start at about three o’clock in the afternoon and I stay in the kitchen since two hours介系詞錯誤:應為「for about two hours」. I make rice, chicken, beans and some vegetables, and then I put everything in boxes in the fridge. I wash and cut the vegetables first, so the cooking go主詞動詞不一致:應為「goes」 faster, and I listen to music while I work. During the week I work in an office and I finish late, so before I started this habit I was buy動詞形式錯誤:應為「used to buy」或「was buying」 food on the way home almost every day. Now I just take a box, heat it and eat. On a normal weekday this saves me about one hour, which is a lot when I arrive home at seven and I am very tired. It helps me because I do not need to cook after work, so I have more time基本詞彙,限制了Lexical Resource的分數 in the evening to relax or watching並列結構錯誤:應為「watch」,與「relax」對應 a series. You know當作停頓使用的填充詞, it also save主詞動詞不一致:應為「saves」 money, but the main reason is the time. When I do it I feel very good基本形容詞;用「relieved」或「in control」會得到更高的分數, because I know the week is already er自然的停頓,填充詞不顯眼 planned, and I do not worry about dinner. My colleagues ask me sometimes how I stay so calm, and I tell them it is only my Sunday routine. I think it is a simple habit but it changed my life.
Band 7
I’d like to talk about something I do every Sunday in Monterrey, where I live: I cook my meals for the whole week. I start at about three o’clock in the afternoon and spend roughly two hours in the kitchen. I make rice, chicken, beans and some vegetables, and then I put everything into boxes in the fridge. I wash and cut the vegetables first so the cooking goes faster, and I listen to a podcast while I work, which makes the time pass quickly. During the week I work in an office and finish late, so before I started this habit I used to buying動詞形式錯誤:應為「used to buy」 food on the way home almost every day. Now I simply take a box, heat it and eat. On a normal weekday that saves me about an hour, which matters when I get home at seven, exhausted. It helps me because I don’t have to cook after work, so I have a couple of extra hours自然又具體的說法 in the evening to relax or watch a series. It also saves money, but the real benefit is the time清楚強調主要的理由. When I do it I feel relieved精準的形容詞選擇, because I know the week is already planned and I don’t have to worry about what to eat正確使用不定詞與wh-子句. My colleagues sometimes ask how I stay so calm, and I tell them it’s just my Sunday routine. It’s a simple habit, but it has honestly changed my routine.
Band 8
I’d like to talk about something I do every Sunday in Monterrey, where I live: I cook my meals for the whole week. I start at about three in the afternoon and spend roughly two hours in the kitchen, making rice, chicken, beans and some vegetables, which then go into boxes in the fridge. I chop the vegetables first so that everything cooks in parallel, and I put a podcast on, which makes the two hours fly by. I work in an office and often finish late, so before I started this habit I used to buy food on the way home almost every day. Now I simply take a box, heat it and eat. On a normal weekday that saves me roughly an hour, which matters a great deal when I get home at seven, exhausted. It helps me because I no longer have to cook after work, which frees up a couple of hours精準的片語動詞,用得自然 in the evening to relax or watch a series. It also saves money, but the real benefit is the time, not the savings用平衡的名詞片語做出對比. When I do it I feel relieved, almost as if a weight has been lifted慣用說法表達感受,用法準確, because I know the week is already taken care of and I won’t have to think about dinner again自然又靈活地指涉未來,否定情態動詞用法正確 until the following Sunday. Colleagues sometimes ask how I stay so calm, and I tell them it’s simply my Sunday routine. It’s a small habit, but it has quietly changed the shape of my whole routine.
- Band 6在「was buy」和「it also save」出錯;Band 7只剩一個失誤,「used to buying」;Band 8正確寫出「used to buy」,並讓「It also saves money」保持乾淨。
- Band 6用「more time」和「very good」;Band 7升級成「a couple of extra hours」和「relieved」;Band 8用「frees up a couple of hours」,再搭配一個如釋重負的畫面。
- Band 6以「it changed my life」收尾,是個平淡的結尾;Band 7說「has honestly changed my routine」;Band 8以「has quietly changed the shape of my whole routine」作結。
- 只用「good」或「happy」回答「how you feel」那一行,沒有理由。
- Why do so many people feel they never have enough time these days?
- Which modern inventions have saved people the most time, in your opinion?
- Is it always a good idea to do things as quickly as possible?
- Do you think young people manage their time better than older people?
- Should schools teach students how to plan and manage their time?
