Band 6
I would like to talk about my neighbour Marta, who lives in the flat below mine in Porto, in Portugal. I know her since時態與介系詞錯誤:應為「have known her for」 five years, and in the morning we often take the same metro, so we have a lot of time to chat. She tells me about her day, so I know a lot about her work. She works as a project coordinator for a company that makes and installs solar panels for houses and schools. Her job is, er自然的停頓,填充詞不顯眼, to plan the days when the workers come, to talk to the customers and to make sure the teams has主詞動詞不一致:應為「have」 all the materials. She likes it most when a school switches on its new panels and the children are excited. The company is not very old. Two engineers started it about fifteen years ago in a small workshop in Braga, and now it has offices in four cities. I think the company is successful for three reasons. First, it is very reliable基本說法,限制了Lexical Resource的分數, because the workers finish the job on the day they promise. Second, the customers are happy, so they tell their friends and the company gets many new customers模糊的說法;「a growing customer base」更精準. Third, the company teaches its employees new things, so people stays主詞動詞不一致:應為「stay」 there for many years. Marta told me that last year the company open時態錯誤:應為「opened」 an office in the south of the country. I admire her because she works hard but she is never stress詞形錯誤:應為「stressed」. Maybe one day I will work for a company like this.
Band 7
I’d like to talk about my neighbour Marta, who lives in the flat below mine in Porto, in Portugal. I’ve known her for about five years, and we often take the same metro in the morning, so we have plenty of time to chat. She often tells me about her day, so I know quite a lot about her work. She works as a project coordinator for a company that makes and installs solar panels for houses and schools. Her job is to plan the days when the installation teams visit, to liaise with精準的工作相關片語動詞 customers and to make sure everyone has the materials they need. She enjoys it most when a school switches on its new panels and the children are excited. The company isn’t very old: two engineers founded it about fifteen years ago in a small workshop in Braga, and it now has offices in four cities. I think it’s successful for three reasons. Firstly, it’s dependable用精準的形容詞取代「very reliable」, because the teams finish the job on the day they promise. Secondly, customers are so satisfied that they recommend it to their friends準確使用「so … that」的結果子句, which brings in new work. Thirdly, the company invests in training its employees, so people tend to stay for many years. Marta told me that last year it opened a new office in the south of the country, which were主詞動詞不一致:應為「which was」 quite a big step. On the whole話語標記,引出總結, I admire her because she works hard yet never seems stressed, and I can imagine myself working for a company like that one day.
Band 8
I’d like to talk about my neighbour Marta, who lives in the flat below mine in Porto, in Portugal. I’ve known her for about five years, and since we often take the same metro in the morning, we’ve had plenty of chances to chat. She often tells me about her day, so I know quite a lot about her work. She works as a project coordinator for a company that designs and installs solar panels for houses and schools. Her role is to schedule the installation teams, keep customers informed and make sure everyone has the materials they need. She enjoys it most when a school switches on its new panels and the children are excited. The company isn’t old: two engineers founded it about fifteen years ago in a small workshop in Braga, and it now has offices in four cities. I’d say it owes its success to three things. First, it’s thoroughly dependable精準的強調詞搭配形容詞: the teams finish the job on the day they promise. Second, satisfied customers recommend it to their friends, which keeps new work coming in準確使用指涉整個概念的關係子句. Third, the company invests in training its employees, so staff tend to stay for years自然而簡潔的說法. Marta told me that last year it opened an office in the south of the country, a step that would have seemed risky ten years ago過去情態結構,補上靈活的比較. Overall, I admire her because she works hard yet never seems stressed, and I could easily picture myself working for a company like that one day.
- Band 6的錯誤(「I know her since」、「the teams has」、「people stays」)在Band 7已經改正(「I’ve known her for」、「everyone has」、「tend to stay」),Band 8也維持乾淨。
- Band 6用的是「very reliable」和「many new customers」;Band 7改用「dependable」和「so satisfied that they recommend it」;Band 8說「thoroughly dependable」,並加上「which keeps new work coming in」。
- Band 7仍然出現一次失誤,說成「which were quite a big step」,Band 8則以「a step that would have seemed risky ten years ago」結束這段故事,然後才說最後那句關於「a company like that」的看法。
- What makes some companies grow while others close after a few years?
- Do you think a large company is a better place to start a career than a small one?
- How important is it for employees to feel that they belong to a company?
- Why do some people stay with one employer for many years while others change often?
- Should companies be responsible for the effect they have on the places where they work?
描述你知道的部分,可以用「as far as I know」或「from what she tells me」這樣的說法。
