這個理由正好為題卡上「why you decided to read it」這一項提供自然的內容。

Band 6

A book I read quite recently is a novel that follow three generation主詞動詞不一致與漏掉複數:應為「follows three generations」 of the same family who live in the same city for about sixty years. It is not a book I chose myself, actually — a friend recommend it to me時態錯誤:應為「recommended」 after I said I want something longer and more, er自然的停頓,填充詞不顯眼, absorbing than what I was reading before, and also half of my office was talking about it at the same time, so I got curious. I admit the first chapter was very slow基本詞彙,限制了Lexical Resource的分數; it took me a while to know who is related to who. But around chapter three, I got properly hooked, mostly because of a plot twist about one of the grandparents that changed how I understood a earlier part冠詞錯誤:應為「an earlier part」 of the story. Overall, I felt really moved by it at the end, more than I expected. It give me主詞動詞不一致:應為「gives」或「gave」 a lot to think about my own family, actually, and the stories that never really pass down between generations. Would I recommend it? Yes, for sure, but I would warn a person that the beginning need主詞動詞不一致:應為「needs」 some patience. Once it starts going, though, it is the kind of book you lose yourself in, and I finished the last hundred pages in one evening.

Band 7

A book I read fairly recently is a novel that follows three generations of the same family living in the same city over about sixty years. It’s not a book I would have picked up on my own, actually — a friend recommended it after I mentioned wanting something a bit longer and more absorbing than what I’d been reading, and it also seemed to be what half my office was talking about, so curiosity got the better of me自然的連接用語,為句子收尾. I’ll admit the opening chapters were a slow burn道地的慣用語; it took me a little while to keep track of who was related to whom. But by around the third chapter, I was properly hooked, partly because of a plot twist involve小失誤:應為「involving」 one of the grandparents that completely changed how I understood an earlier part of the story. Overall, I felt genuinely moved by it by the end, more than I expected. It gave me a lot of food for thought自然使用的慣用語 about my own family, actually, and the stories that never really get passed down between generations. Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely, though I’d warn whoever I recommend it to that the beginning demands a bit of patience準確使用的複雜名詞子句.

Band 8

A book I read fairly recently is a novel following three generations of the same family living in the same city over roughly sixty years. It’s not a book I’d have picked up on my own, if I’m honest自然使用的條件句 — a friend recommended it after I mentioned wanting something longer and more absorbing than what I’d been reading, and it also seemed to be what everyone in my office was talking about, so curiosity got the better of me道地、自然的說法. I’ll admit the opening chapters amount to something of a slow burn; it took me a while to keep track of who was related to whom準確使用的間接問句(含「whom」). By around the third chapter, though, I was thoroughly hooked放在句首的時間用語,增加流暢度, partly owing to a plot twist involving one of the grandparents that entirely reshaped how I’d understood精準、自然的改寫 an earlier part of the story. Overall, I found myself genuinely moved by the end, more than I’d anticipated. It gave me plenty of food for thought about my own family, and the stories rarely passed down between generations. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, though I’d warn anyone that the opening demands real patience. Once it gets going, though, it’s the sort of book you lose yourself in entirely道地的收尾用語, and I ended up finishing the last hundred pages in a single evening.

  • Band 6的主詞動詞不一致(「that follow three generation」、「It give me」)在Band 7已經不見,Band 8也完全沒有出現。
  • Band 6說「very slow」;Band 7把它升級為「a slow burn」;Band 8保留這個慣用語,並進一步擴充成「amount to something of a slow burn」。
  • Band 6幾乎沒有連接用語;Band 7加了一個自然的收尾用語(「so curiosity got the better of me」);Band 8則流暢地使用放在句首的時間用語(「By around the third chapter, though, I was thoroughly hooked」)。

  1. Do you think people read less than they used to?
  2. What are the advantages of reading fiction compared to non-fiction?
  3. Should schools require students to read certain books?
  4. How has technology changed the way people read?
