“worth it or not”은 한 단어가 아니라 한 문장의 근거가 필요하기 때문입니다.

Band 8
I’d like to talk about a morning last May when I got up at half past three to watch the sunrise from a ridge near Chimgan, in the mountains outside Tashkent. It was my younger brother Bobur’s idea. He’d seen photographs of the view and had talked about it for weeks, until I finally agreed, although I’m definitely not a morning person. We set two alarms, packed sandwiches and a flask of tea, and a friend with a car picked us up at four. It was pitch dark and bitterly cold when we started the climb, and for the first half hour I honestly regretted saying yes. But when we reached the ridge, the sky was turning orange behind the peaks and the valley below was still full of mist. We sat there for almost an hour, hardly speaking. On the way down we had breakfast in a small tea house, and Bobur kept reminding me that he’d been right all along. Looking back, it was absolutely worth it“and explain” 줄에 곧바로 답하는 성찰형 도입: I was tired all afternoon, but I’d seen something I’d never have seen from my bed, and I’d happily do it again, preferably with a thicker jacket가벼운 유머와 자연스러운 문체.

- “and explain” 줄이 요구하는 “whether it was worth it”에 답하는 것을 잊는 것
- “very early”와 “very tired”만 쓰고 “pitch dark”나 “half past three”처럼 정확한 표현을 쓰지 않는 것
- Why do some people prefer mornings while others work better in the evening?
- Should schools and offices start later in the day?
- Do you think people who get up early achieve more?
- How does the amount of sleep affect people's health and concentration?
- Is it harder for teenagers than for adults to keep a regular sleep routine?10
대부분 단순 과거를 쓰고, 그날 아침 이전에 한 일에는 “he had talked about it for weeks”처럼 과거완료를 씁니다. 예를 들면 “I think it was worth it”이나 “I'd happily do it again”입니다.
