이 표현들은 “a famous man”이나 “a good advert”보다 광고와 유명세를 더 정확하게 묘사합니다.

|---|---|---|
| a celebrity endorsement | 유명인이 제품을 공개적으로 지지하는 것 | The advert is a typical celebrity endorsement. |
| a household name | 거의 모든 사람이 아는 사람이나 사물 | He is a household name in my country. |
| a catchy slogan | 기억하기 쉬운 짧은 문구 | The catchy slogan stayed in my head for days. |
| a jingle | 광고에 쓰이는 짧고 단순한 노래 | I still hum the jingle when I make tea. |
| eye-catching | 단번에 시선을 끄는 | The billboard was bright and eye-catching. |
| to stick in your mind | 쉽게 기억에 남다 | The final scene really stuck in my mind. |
| the target audience | 광고가 겨냥하는 사람들의 집단 | Families are the target audience for this brand. |
| tongue-in-cheek | 유머러스하고 완전히 진지하지는 않은 | The tone is tongue-in-cheek, which I enjoy. |
| to be taken in by something | 너무 쉽게 속거나 설득당하다 | I don’t want to be taken in by a famous face. |
| to take something with a pinch of salt | 어떤 것을 곧이곧대로 믿지 않다 | I take every advert with a pinch of salt. |

It was a hot day and the billboard was very big. In the advert the actor comes into a small kitchen, and his grandmother gives him a glass of tea. Band 7
I’d like to describe an advertisement for a mint tea brand with a famous actor in it. He’s well known in Morocco because he plays a detective in a TV series that many families watch together. I live in Casablanca, and I first saw the advert on television in the evenings last Ramadan, and later on a huge billboard near the Corniche while I was going to the beach with my friends, on a hot afternoon when it was impossible to miss. In the advert the actor walks into a small kitchen, and his grandmother hands him a glass of tea. He doesn’t says동사 형태 오류: 올바른 형태는 “doesn’t say” a word, he just smiles, and then a short song begins. What I like about it is that it’s funny and warm, and it reminds me of my own grandmother. I’m also a fan of the actor, so I tend to watch it whenever it comes on. That said, I don’t really believe유보를 이끄는 담화 표지 the tea is his favourite, because endorsing it is part of his job. Band 8
I’d like to describe an advertisement for a mint tea brand featuring a famous actor, who is a household name in Morocco because he plays a detective in a TV series that whole families watch together. I live in Casablanca, and I first saw the advert on television in the evenings last Ramadan, and later on a huge billboard near the Corniche, as I was heading to the beach with friends on a hot afternoon, when it was impossible to miss. In the advert the actor walks into a small kitchen, and his grandmother hands him a glass of tea. He doesn’t say a word; he simply smiles, and then a short jingle begins. The tune is irresistibly catchy정확한 콜로케이션, and my little brother sings it around the house. The advert lasts only thirty seconds, but I can recall every detail. What I like about it is that it’s tongue-in-cheek and warm at the same time어조를 나타내는 정확하고 자연스러운 묘사, and it reminds me of my own grandmother. I’m a fan of the actor, too, so I tend to watch it whenever it comes on. At the same time, I try not to be taken in유보를 나타내는 정확한 관용구가 들어간 담화 표지: I doubt the tea is really his favourite, since endorsing it is part of his job. I bought it once because of the advert, and it turned out to be nothing more than perfectly ordinary tea수량 표현을 정확하게 사용. So I treat the advert as a nice little story rather than real information의견을 마무리하는 정확한 바꿔 말하기, even though it clearly sticks in my mind.

- 처음 세 항목에만 답하고 “how you feel about it”을 이유와 함께 말하지 않는 것
- Why do companies choose famous people to appear in their advertisements?
- Should celebrities be careful about which products they promote?
- Are children too easily influenced by advertising?
- Which is more effective today, a television advert or an advert on social media?
- Should advertising for some products, such as sweet drinks, be limited by law?
