Band 6
I want to talk about my elderly neighbour, Mrs. Aliyeva, who live主語と動詞の不一致:正しくは「lives」 alone a few doors from my family. About two years ago, she break時制の誤り:正しくは「broke」 her wrist after a fall and suddenly she cannot do basic things like carrying shopping bags or even opening jars, which was obviously a tough spot for someone who lives alone. My mother notice時制の誤り:正しくは「noticed」 she was struggling one afternoon and asked me if I could step in and help until her wrist got better. So for around six weeks, I did her grocery shopping two times a week and helped with small chores around the house, like hanging washing and moving anything heavy. It was not really a big effort for me, but I remember she tell me時制の誤り:正しくは「she told me」 it was a very big weight基本的な語彙で、Lexical Resourceの評価が伸びない off her shoulders, because she has family abroad and she doesn’t want to keep asking distant relatives for help with something so, er自然な言いよどみを示す軽いつなぎ言葉, ordinary. Honestly, I felt a real sense of satisfaction from this, not because it is difficult, but because I could see it really matters to her every day life. It also make us時制の誤り:正しくは「made」 closer as neighbours; we still talk regularly now, a long time after her wrist healed. It teach me時制の誤り:正しくは「taught」 that helping someone doesn’t need to be dramatic to make a real difference.
Band 7
I’d like to talk about an elderly neighbour of mine, Mrs. Aliyeva, who lives alone a few doors down自然で的確な言い回し from my family. About two years ago, she broke her wrist after a fall and suddenly couldn’t manage basic things like carrying shopping bags or even opening jars, which was obviously a tough spot for someone living by herself非制限用法の関係詞節の自然な使い方. My mother noticed she was struggling one afternoon and asked if I could step in and help out until her wrist healed properly. So, for around six weeks, I did her grocery shopping twice a week and helped with small chores around the house, like hanging washing and moving anything heavy. It really wasn’t a huge amount of effort on my part, but I remember her telling me it was a genuine weight off her shoulders慣用的で自然なコロケーション, since she has family abroad and didn’t want to keep asking distant relative複数形の抜け:正しくは「relatives」 for help with something so ordinary. Honestly, I felt a real sense of satisfaction from it振り返りを導く自然なディスコースマーカー — not because it was difficult, but because I could see it actually matteredバランスのとれた対比の構文 to her day-to-day life. It also brought us closer as neighbours; we still chat regularly now, long after her wrist healed.
Band 8
I’d like to talk about an elderly neighbour of mine, Mrs. Aliyeva, who lives alone just a few doors down from my family. About two years ago, she broke her wrist in a fall and suddenly found herself unable to manage basic things自然な複雑な動詞の構文 like carrying shopping bags or even opening jars — a genuinely tough spot for someone living on her own的確で慣用的な言い回し. My mother noticed she was struggling one afternoon and asked whether I could step in until her wrist healed properly. So, for roughly six weeks, I did her grocery shopping twice a week and helped with small chores around the house, from hanging out washing to moving anything heavy. It really wasn’t much effort on my part, but she told me it took a genuine weight off her shoulders, since her family live abroad and she was reluctant to keep asking distant relatives的確な語の選択 for help with something so mundane. Honestly, what I felt was a real sense of satisfaction文頭に出して自然な強調を加える構文 — not because the task itself was demanding, but because I could see it genuinely matteredバランスのとれた対比の構文 to her day-to-day life. It also brought us closer as neighbours; we still chat regularly now, long after her wrist healed, and if anything, it taught me that helping someone needn’t be dramatic結びにふさわしい慣用的な言い回し to make a real difference.
- バンド6の時制や主語と動詞の不一致(「she break her wrist」「My mother notice」「It also make us」)は、バンド7ですべて直り、バンド8でも再び現れません。
- バンド6は「a very big weight off her shoulders」と言います。バンド7はこの慣用表現を正しく使い(「a genuine weight off her shoulders」)、バンド8は同じ慣用表現をさらに引き締めています(「took a genuine weight off her shoulders」)。
「not because the task itself was demanding, but because I could see it genuinely mattered」がその例です。
- Should schools teach children to help others as part of the curriculum?
- Do people help strangers as often as they used to?
- Is it better to help someone directly or to support a charity that helps many people?
- Do you think helping others benefits the helper as well as the person being helped?
「a couple of years ago」や「when I was in my final year of school」のように、おおよその時期を述べ、細部は状況と自分の行動に絞りましょう。
