여기서 Lexical Resource(어휘력)를 평가하는 시험관은 응시자가 “I like watching films”에서 벗어나 “box-office hit”, “plot twist”, “critically acclaimed” 같은 구체적이고 자연스러운 콜로케이션으로 넘어가는지, 그리고 미디어의 영향 같은 추상적인 생각을 막연한 “affects people badly” 대신 “desensitised” 같은 정확한 단어로 표현하는지를 귀 기울여 듣습니다.

  • Part 1자신의 삶에 관한 도입 질문: “What kind of films do you usually watch?”
  • Part 2Describe a book you read recently, Describe a film that made you think, Describe a song that means something to you
  • Part 3정확성이 가장 중요한 추상적인 후속 질문: “Do you think social media has changed how people consume entertainment?”.

시험에서 “the film was very interesting”이라고 말해도 되나요?
