이 표현들은 상실, 걱정, 안도를 “I was very sad”보다 더 정확하게 묘사합니다.

I’d like to talk about a time when I lost my wallet last June. It was a brown leather wallet that my father had given me when I started university, so it meant a lot to me. I lost it on a jeepney in Cebu City on a Friday evening, on my way back from my part-time job.

  • 6점 답변의 시제 실수(“my father give me”, “I fall asleep”, “the wallet slide out”)는 7점 답변에서 정확한 과거형(“my father had given me”, “I dozed off”)이 되고 8점 답변에서도 계속 깔끔합니다.
  • 6점 답변은 “very scared”, “very sad”에 의존하고, 7점 답변은 “a wave of panic”이라고 말합니다. 8점 답변은 “my heart sank”, “almost overwhelming” 같은 표현을 씁니다.
  • 6점 답변은 “I felt very happy”로 끝납니다. “partly because I was panicking and partly because I kept blaming myself”.

  1. Why do people tend to lose things when they are in a hurry?
  2. How can technology help people keep track of their belongings?
  3. Why do some objects matter more to us than their price would suggest?
  4. What should people do when they find something that belongs to someone else?
  5. Do you think people are more careless with their belongings today than in the past?

세 번째 항목은 “whether you found it again”을 묻기 때문에, 찾지 못했다고 말하고 대신 무엇을 했는지 설명해도 됩니다.
