이것이 바로 “explain why it was special”의 핵심입니다.

  • 6점 답변의 시제 실수(“my grandfather give to me”, “he wear”)는 7점 답변에서 정확한 과거와 과거완료(“he’d worn”)가 되고, 8점 답변은 동격 표현을 더해 한층 다듬습니다(“actually his own watch, which he’d worn”).
  • 6점 답변은 “very expensive”와 “the sentimental value is more important”라고 말하고, 7점 답변은 이를 “outweighs”로 간결하게 다듬습니다. 8점 답변은 마무리 이미지를 “entrusted with a small fragment of family history”로 끌어올립니다.
  • 6점 답변의 “I am scare to damage it”(형용사 오류)은 7점 답변에서 “out of fear of damaging it” 표현이 되고, 8점 답변은 같은 생각을 유지하면서 더 성찰적인 어조로 마무리합니다(“how deliberate the gesture was”).

  • “who gave it to you” 항목을 잊거나, 두 사람의 관계에 대한 설명 없이 준 사람을 스치듯 언급하기만 하는 것

  1. Do you think people put too much emphasis on expensive gifts?
  2. How have gift-giving customs changed with online shopping?
  3. Is it better to give a practical gift or a sentimental one?
  4. Do you think handmade gifts mean more than bought ones?
